Sefton 4 Good: 50 for 50 Campaign

The Metropolitan Borough of Sefton was formed on 1 April 1974, celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Join Sefton 4 Good in celebrating this milestone with activities throughout 2024!

Our Sefton 50 for 50 campaign will bring together local communities through community centric events across the borough, encouraging participation in volunteering opportunities and celebrating those residents in Sefton who give back to their local community.

We need you to get involved and help make Sefton a better place to live.

The campaign aims to encourage volunteering and good deeds within our local communities;

Supporting 50 people into volunteering

giving 50 volunteer hours

contributing to 50 good deeds within local communities

celebrating 50 Sefton residents at our Citizens 4 Good Awards across the year.

Events in Sefton

We will be hosting events throughout the year but you can also get involved and organise your own, whether you’re an organisation or as an individual with your local community, just remember to let us know!

Good deeds can be little things or as big as you would like.

For some inspiration, you could:

• Do a Random Act of Kindness such as buying a coffee for a person struggling
• Help neighbours in need: do their shopping or tidy their garden
• Fundraise for Sefton 4 Good
• Donate to a foodbank
• Volunteer

Volunteering Taster Sessions

Help Sefton 4 Good fundraiser with the Rotary Club for Maghull and Aughton.

Keep an eye out for Sefton 4 Good’s events. We will be doing things like litter picks, clearing and planting, fundraising events, good gymming and more.

There are also a number of National awareness and celebration days you may want to get involved in, with some key dates including:

• Pay It Forward Day on Sunday 28 April 2024
• The Big Help Out from Friday 7 June to Sunday 9 June 2024
• Giving Tuesday on Tuesday 3 December 2024
